The game is very unbalanced and after playing for a few hour, fights are not fun at all but rather repetitive and annoying. The idea is great indeed and promises a lot but delivers very little. No matter what you choose, you’re in for a brutal challenge with endless replayability. Work together with different factions to unite mankind and take back the planet via Phoenix Point's diplomacy system, or crush all your rivals with military might. It’s up to you to lead Earth’s resistance: explore a ravaged planet, build your bases, research and develop new techniques and technologies, manage resources on a global scale, and fight in full-scale, turn-based tactical battles to survive.

Only the Phoenix Project, a secret organization of the greatest minds and bravest soldiers left, can fight back and save the world. A mutating alien menace threatens the last remnants of mankind. Phoenix Point delivers a new breed of turn-based strategy and action. Summary: Phoenix Point delivers a new breed of turn-based strategy and action.Am I unaware of something I could be doing better or was this DLC poorly implemented? Poorly implemented, and that is a shame. At this rate I might have to start over again because there's not many people left. I can't exactly expand because of the supplies required to reactivate a base+build a sat uplink to find points of interest. I'm at the point where I need multiple planes to stand a chance at taking out some of the bigger ships and even with that I need to save scum. I've beaten the game on Legend and I'm down to Normal because I don't know what I'm doing wrong. Is the game telling me I should raid the factions? I've tried 2 play throughs since the dlc came out. I just can't spare the supplies and man power to find them. I haven't even attempted trying to find the ancient sites for the ultimate weapons. I'm burning through supplies just keeping myself well stocked and building new bases just so I can reach the story missions that are outside my range. Every time he attacks on a continent where I don't have any bases there's nothing I can do. 3 of them sit on the continent he spawns. I got 4 planes split across North+South America and Europe. He has a lot of ships and some of them take a lot of fire power to bring down. The Behemoth is corrupting havens and I have to send a squad to clear them out.
